This year we are excited to announce we have partnered with Music on the Mounds, an amazing farm and venue located on the Mima Mounds near Olympia Washington. Rainingman provides space for Cascadians to join in a fun, annual event with presentations, workshops, skillshares, debriefs, info tables and vendors, as well as art, performance and music - all weekend long Labor Day weekend.
This year will have two stage areas, a central gathering area, community kitchen, food vendors, small craft fair and more.
More than anything, we want to create a space for anyone in to the idea of Cascadia to come together for a fun weekend of camping, music, art and organizing, and have a great time.
This event is powered by you! so join us. Click here to read about ways to volunteer, or things it would be great if you wanted to bring. In addition, you apply here if you would like to
- Propose a presentation, skillshare or workshop
- Want to volunteer, or want to help bring something
- are a band or performer
- are an artist, photographer, or videographer
- vend or sponsor
This is a private, albeit totally open event. This year, we are asking $55 for the entire weekend (which we feel is very reasonable for camping, parking and the presentations/music etc), which goes entirely to the presenters and musicians, and to cover the costs of the event. Day passes are also available for those not able to attend the full weekend, and we are providing a Vanpool from Seattle, Portland and Vancouver, and will add services as requested.
We're very lucky in that Music on the Mounds, like CascadiaNow! is not here to make a profit, but rather to build community, raise the profile for Pacific Northwest artists, performers and musicians, and to have a great weekend. We think this is pretty awesome and amazing, so let's repay the favor by making sure we respect the space.
